Eastern Point Beach Season Passes

EPB - AerialSeason or Daily passes are required to access Eastern Point Beach each year beginning Memorial Day weekend through Labor day weekend. Visitors may access Eastern Point Beach on non-holiday week days until June 15, 2024, at which point passes are required weekdays and weekends through Labor Day weekend.

Passes may be purchased online, in-person, mail-in or via drop box.

Online Sales

Online sales begin May 1st on this page. Accepted forms of payment:

*Please note mailing address in Notes Area when paying online if different from account’s address. $1.00 mailing fee will be applied. Processing may take 5 days.

In-Person Sales

In-person sales begin on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 9 am - 2 pm. Cash and check only for in-person sales. Checks are to be made out to City of Groton

In-Person sales hours:

Saturday, May 4 - Friday, June 14, 2024 
Monday – Friday: 4:00 – 7:30 pm (Lobby of Municipal Building)            
Saturdays: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm  

Beginning Monday, June 17 - Thursday, August 29, 2024  
Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm in Parks and Recreation office in Municipal Building

Drop Box or Mail-In

Drop Box or Mail-In payment options will be available starting May 1st throughout the remainder of the summer (ends 8/29/24). 

Required documentation:

  • Copy of car registration
  • Photo ID
  • Legal sized self-addressed stamped envelope (#10 size)
  • Beach pass fee (make check out to City of Groton)

No need to pick-up passes - they will be mailed to you. Add $1.00 to your fee to cover mailing if you do not include an envelope. Please be sure to include your correct mailing address.

Drop Box:

The Drop Box is the big blue box at the top of the landing of the City Municipal Building.

Acceptable documents to obtain a Season Beach Pass

  • Current car registration of the car that the pass will go on
  • ID (driver’s license) must match name on that registration
  • If you are a city taxpayer or have just moved to the City of Groton but registration does not show a City address you can show a current tax bill, utility bill, lease or deed to prove residency
