Dedicated to the 3,617 courageous submariners who lost their lives during World War II. There are fifty-two engraved granite stones surrounding the concrete walkways honoring each of the fifty-two U.S. Submarines lost during World War II.
National Memorial (East) displays an actual conning tower of a World Wat II submarine.
The Memorial is located on Bridge Street in Groton between the intersections of Fairview Avenue and Thames Street.
