2. Use this form to be considered for a tree planting. After a Tree Warden inspection a determination is made as to suitability and need for a tree. Many variables go into choosing the correct spot and type of tree for a particular street tree planting.

   The City of Groton's tree planting program allows for the planting of shade trees within the public right of way. There are times when planting in the grass strip at the curb line is not feasible and a tree would need to be placed behind the sidewalk.
