Leaf Pickup Change – November 24th — November 13, 2020

We will be picking up leaves on Tuesday, November 24th instead of Wednesday, November 25, 2020.

Please do not sweep your leaves into the street or road. Leaves accumulate into the catch basins and clog them up creating drainage problems. Pick the leaves up and put them out on the days scheduled.  Your help with this situation will be greatly appreciated.

Place “leaves only” in biodegradable paper bags, trash cans or cardboard boxes not larger than thirty-five (35) gallons.

Fall Leaf Collection Schedule — November 4, 2020

Leaf Collection has Started and leaves will be picked up every Wednesday, October 28th thru Wednesday, December 9th.  Leaves will not be collected on Wednesday, November 11th because of the Veteran’s Day Holiday.

Bulky Waste and Leaf Collection Now Available — May 21, 2020

The City of Groton Public Works Department will be fully staffed as of Tuesday, May 26th. As a result we are reinstating Bulky Waste scheduled pick ups as well as the remainder of the Leaf Collection schedule. To schedule a Bulky Waste pick up date please call the Public Works Office at 860-446-4127.

The last remaining date on the leaf collection schedule is Wednesday, May 27th. If you still have leaves that need to be picked up after that date please call the office to schedule a pick up. 860-446-4127.
