On December 15, 2018 at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the City of Groton Municipal Building located at 295 Meridian Street in the City of Groton, the City of Groton Police Department will be holding their annual “Stuff a Cruiser”, with also a Food Drive and Coat Drive event.
We are happy to announce that we will again this year stuff a City of Groton Police cruiser with toys to distribute to children locally to ensure all have a joyous holiday season.
We will have the City of Groton Police Pickup on hand to collect items for a food drive for local food pantries to meet the need of the food endangered locally. Also on hand at this event to assist with the collection efforts will be the City of Groton Police Cadets. Santa Claus has indicated he will stop by to assist with collection efforts during the event. His arrival time is being coordinated with his staff at the North Pole and will be announced later.
We will be collaborating with St. John’s Christian Church of Groton to conduct a coat drive so we can ensure all are warm during the coming Winter months. New and gently used coats are welcome and will be made available later to those in need. We will also be collaborating with other organizations to ensure that those in need have their needs met at this event. Check back on this webpage for updates and announcements on the other stakeholders who will be assisting with this event
Last year’s event was a huge success and we want to have an even larger positive impact this year!
City of Groton Police Officers will be hosting this family friendly event and look forward to seeing you and working together with all to meet the needs of all in our community. Please share in the Holiday spirit!!
